President’s Message
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar is an apex body of the Sikhs which combines educational aims along with humanitarian enterprises. SGPC performs multifaceted functions aiming for the good of the society. Education plays a vital role in social transformation. Education has always been a major thrust area of SGPC. This religious body manages more than 60 educational institutions, hospitals and other charitable and research centres in the rural and urban areas of Punjab and other states as well.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) realises the need to make its contribution in the field of education in order to serve the society in a comprehensive manner. In its bid to scan new vistas of knowledge for the youth, under the stoic leadership of Prof. Gobind Singh Longowal, President, SGPC, this 40th college of the Committee has been set up in the holy city of Sri Chamkaur Sahib with a view to establish a centre of excellence at par with best colleges of the region. Khalsa College is entering its second year with a commitment of providing value-based quality education, learning and research. The college is committed to impart affordable quality education by using innovative technology and teaching pedagogy to a wide cross section of society without any distinction of caste, creed and religion. Liberal scholarships and fee concessions are provided to the meritorious and deserving poor students. Our endeavour at Khalsa College is to groom students not just into ‘People of Success’ but ‘People of Value’. We inspire our students to have faith in themselves and use the same in expressing and being their unique selves.
