The Department of Computer Science at Bibi Sharan Kaur Khalsa College, Sri Chamkaur Sahib, is committed to delivering high‑quality, industry‑relevant education in computing and technology. Established in 2016 with the vision to empower rural youth with digital skills, the department combines strong theoretical foundations with practical exposure. The BCA and PGDCA programs, affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala, are designed to move beyond theory and give students hands‑on experience essential for success in computer applications. As a technical programme, BCA is approved by AICTE.

Since its inception, the aim has been to help commerce students respond to changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge. The department offers the B.Com programme.
