GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE:

The Grievance Redressal Cell aims to look into the complaints lodged by any student and redress it as per requirement. Students can reach out to Grievance Redressal Cell with their grievances, if any, regarding academic matters related to their study. The College Grievance Redressal Cell will respond to the grievances raised by students who are presently enrolled in academic programme.

It aims to facilitate a user-friendly platform for students, faculty, and other stakeholders to submit their grievances and receive timely resolutions. This mechanism will adhere to the following key principles:

  1. Accessibility: Ensuring the platform is easily accessible to all stakeholders.
  2. Transparency: Providing clear updates on the status of grievances.
  3. Timeliness: Addressing grievances within a stipulated timeframe.
  4. Confidentiality: Maintaining the confidentiality of users’ submissions.

 

PROCEURE FOR REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES

  1. i) On receipt of a complaint, the institution shall refer the complaint to the appropriate grievance redressal cell, along with its comments within 15 days of receipt of the complaint.
  2. ii) The Grievance Redressal Cell, as the case may be, shall fix a date for hearing the complaint which shall be communicated to the institution and the aggrieved student.

iii) An aggrieved student may appear either in person or authorize a representative to present the case.

  1. iv) The College Grievance Redressal Cell shall send its report with recommendations, if any, to the principal of the institution concerned and a copy thereof to the aggrieved student, preferably within a period of 15 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
  2. v) Grievances not resolved by the Grievance Redressal Cell within the time period provided in these regulations may be referred to the head of the institution.
  3. vi) The Principal after giving responsible opportunities of being heard to the parties concerned, on the conclusion of proceedings, shall pass such relief as may be appropriate to the aggrieved students.

vii) The institution as well as the aggrieved students shall be provided with the copies of the order under the signature of the principal.

viii) The Principal may recommend appropriate action against the complainant, where a complaint is found to be false or frivolous.

  1. ix) Once the complaint has been resolved, the student is informed about the outcome, and the complaint is considered closed by the Department.

  • Unsavoury remarks
  • Jokes causing or likely to cause awkwardness or embarrassment.
  • Gender based insults or sexist remarks.
  • Innuendos and taunts.
  • Unwelcomed sexual overtone in any manner such as over telephone (obnoxious telephone calls and the like.
  • Touching or brushing against any part of the body and the like.
  • Displaying pornographic or other offensive or derogatory pictures, cartoons, pamphlets or sayings.
  • Forcible physical touch or molestation.
  • Physical confinement against one’s will and any other act likely to violate One’s Privacy.

Action

  1. The committee shall on completion of the enquiry provide a report of its finding within 02 days from the date of completion of the enquiry and such report shall be made available to the concerned parties
  2. If the allegation against the respondent has not been proved, the committee may recommend that no action needs to be taken in this matter.
  3. If the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee arrives at the conclusion that the allegation against the respondent has been proved, it shall recommend to:
  4. i) Take action for sexual harassment as misconduct.
  5. ii) To tender written apology to the complainant, issue warning, withholding of promotions/ increments of the respondent, terminating the respondent.

HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

The College Hospitality Committee plays a crucial role in organizing and managing refreshments for events, meetings, or gatherings. Their responsibilities include planning menus, coordinating catering, ensuring dietary considerations, and managing the logistics of food and beverages to enhance the overall experience for participants. Additionally, they may handle budgeting, procurement, and addressing any special requests or accommodations related to refreshments. From time to time different functions have being organized  and more members are added as per requirement.

Students Scholarship Committee

The aim of the Students Scholarship Committee is to aware students about various scholarship schemes provided by College, SGPC, State govt., Centre govt. and NGOs. This committee reviews all undergraduate and graduate scholarship applications of ST/SC/OBC/minority students and make recommendations to the Principal of the college for final decision. The Committee may be asked to also review other student awards as needed. Its Members provide input on the scholarship application and process, and are expected to keep themselves updated with procedures of scholarships. It is the function of this committee to encourage, develop, and evaluate all scholarship programmes.

Responsibilities of Scholarship Committee:

  1. To aware students about various scholarship schemes provided by College, SGPC, State govt., Centre govt. and NGOs.
  2. To conduct activities and workshops for Students to aware about various scholarship schemes for SC/ST/OBC/Minority etc.
  3. To prepare Application form of students for scholarship.
  4. To scrutinize scholarship forms of the students and ensure to submit / process the same on time to the respective Department.
  5. To upload data of scholarships on various web portals and do necessary actions.

Time Table Committee

The Time Table Committee is responsible for creating, managing, and ensuring the effective implementation of academic timetables, including allocating classes, faculty, and resources, while also addressing potential conflicts and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. 

Objective:

  1. Prepare and publish Academic Calendar before commencement of the academic year.
  2. Prepare the time table in the prescribed format at the beginning of every semester.
  3. All activities are planned according to the time table and calendar.

Functions:

1.The Convener and the members of the committee will be responsible for preparing the entire Time- Table of the college in the prescribed format at the beginning of every semester with the active involvement of the members of the timetable committee by collecting details of workload distribution of faculty members, course allotment, assigning of classrooms and common resources (classrooms, tutorial rooms) and taking into account programme-specific requirements.

2.To facilitate collaboration and sharing of best practices across programmes.

3.To prepare the timetables of individual faculty members and by referring to the class timetables.

4.Assigning subjects to the faculty based on their specialization and preferences that were approved by the Head of the department.

5.Maintaining a Timetable committee file.

6.Posting the class Timetables on the respective classroom boards.

7.Attempting to resolve the conflicts within the faculty regarding the published Timetable.

8.Providing the information regarding Timetables and venue to any of the departmental committees.

9.Reviewing and managing the Timetables and addressing any of the conflicts regarding the clashes in the Timetables.

 

Examination Committee

The College Examination Committee is responsible for ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of examinations, including preparing schedules, managing question papers, and publishing results. The Examination Committee has always been an asset of the Institution. The Committee has displayed its steadfastness and competency by organizing Mid Semester Tests and several other University Examinations including Practicals within short notice.

Functions of Examination Committee

  • To conduct the Internal/ External/ Practical Examinations for all the programmes offered in the College.
  • To prepare Time Table for the above-mentioned examinations in advance and inform the students about the same.
  • To allot the exam halls for all the examinations conducted in the College.
  • To ensure that all the question papers are prepared well in advance.
  • To collect all the answer scripts and the supporting documents required.
  • To arrange for External/Internal evaluation of Exams.
  • To publish the results and take necessary steps for the conduct of supplementary exams in time.
  • To address the grievances/ complaints of the students and staff concerning exam-related issues.

A student counsellor helps students succeed academically, emotionally, and socially. The student counsellor's job responsibilities are diverse and crucial for the holistic development of students:

  • Academic Guidance: One of the primary student counsellor job responsibilities is to assist students with academic planning and study skills, helping them overcome learning difficulties and achieve their educational goals.

The College Transport Committee handles the planning, coordination, and management of transportation services for students, faculty, and staff, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring safe and efficient transport. Parents Teacher Association Cell

The PTA Cell of the college acts as a linkage between the teachers and the parents of the students.
